RED LENTILS (MASOOR DAL)

Red Lentil or commonly known as Masoor dal is a very important part of vegetarian diet in Indian cuisine. Masoor dal is sold in all forms of whole or split. It is very soft dal to eat and cooks quickly as well. Whole Masoor is small and good source of cholesterol-lowering fiber. Biological name is Lens culinary. Lentils are extremely rich in soluble fiber, which forms a gel-like substance in the digestive tract thereby helping us in removing bile from the human body.

Lentils also helps in controlling blood cholesterol levels. Red Lentils contain high levels of protein, including essential amino acids and is also an inexpensive source of protein diet.

    Hon’ble Shri Om Birla ji  is an active politician from Bharatiya Janata Party and Member of Parliament in the 16th Lok Sabha from the Kota-Bundi constituency of Rajasthan state. He was a three time Member of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly from Kota South. He is interested in Social Service, Service of Nation, poor, old, handicapped and helpless women through various mediums. He helped the handicapped, Cancer patients and Thalassemia patients through various social organizations. Provided free tricycles, wheelchairs and hearing aids to the handicapped. He launched a major “Green quota forestation campaign” to plant around one lakh trees in Kota to check rising pollution and declining greenery. Led the movement to promote the talented in rural areas by formulating a major scheme of organizing sports and cultural programmes in rural areas of the country through Nehru Yuva Kendra. He led the mission to remove malnutrition and semi-unemployment in Sahriya tribal area in District Bara of Rajasthan.
